This course is aimed at those who have completed the first half of introductory Japanese. Through the introduction of basic sentence patterns, vocabulary and common expressions students will learn to speak about themselves and various topics of personal relevance. At the completion of this course students will be able to communicate solely in Japanese in common situations of daily life. This course covers Lesson 7 to Lesson 15 of Genki Ⅰ and Genki 2. Approximately 55 new sentence structures will be introduced. Topics include shopping, asking for help, making offers, giving or asking for permission, etc. A variety of classroom activities designed to improve communication skills will also be used throughout.
